PTS CHINA

Polymer Technology & Services (Suzhou) Trading Ltd. is pleased to announce the addition of Cindy Song. Prior to joining PTS, Cindy worked for a large multinational company as a technical service engineer. Cindy’s strong materials background and market understanding demonstrates lasting success in terms of customer support and revenue generation. Cindy joined PTS in March 2012 in the role of Sales Manager based in the Suzhou office. Cindy will focus primary in East China as she develops new market opportunities and technical projects.

Cindy earned a Bachelor of Material degree from East China University of Science & Technology.

PTS EUROPE

PTS, LLC is pleased to announce recent addition of Jacques Vandeweghe, effective on January 2nd, 2012, as our new European Technical Sales Engineer, based in Toulouse, France. This addition is in response to our current customer and end-user base for PTS representation on the European continent.

With more than 30 years of experience in the plastics industry, Jacques agreed to take on the challenge to develop PTS, LLC brand name and new business on the European market. His primary focus will be on the French territory, with travels to other European countries as needed to maintain contact with our current customer base, and respond to new business opportunities.

Jacques worked in different fields of the plastics industry: processing with molders, application development and technical support with EMS in Europe as well as Taiwan for the Asian market. He recently worked as a consultant for mold design and sub-contracting with Chinese tool makers.

Jacques’ extensive commercial experience and technical ability will be a plus on the very demanding and highly competitive European market.

PTS HELPS LOCAL HABITAT TOP $1M GOAL

Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity announced in a new release that its Building Rutherford initiative recently reached $1,007,520 in gifts and pledges. A generous pledge of $20,000 by Polymer Technology & Services pushed the campaign over $1 million. "This donation is a big step toward the total goal of $3,875,000, which is needed to build 45 homes across Rutherford County over the length of the campaign," said Wayne Moore, project director for Building Rutherford.

PTS USA

PTS is pleased to announce the recent addition of Lauren Lancaster to our team, effective July 23, 2012, as our new Systems Integration Coordinator. Lauren will be responsible for the China coordination and SAP integration between our USA and China systems. She will also be helping in the domestic accounting and quality/testing functions.

Prior to joining PTS, Lauren worked for over 5 years at Padgett Business Services as an Accountant Assistant. Lauren recently earned a Master’s of Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro.

PTS is pleased to announce the recent addition of Carol Wollard to our team, effective June 25, 2012, to help us in Customer Service and Inside Sales. Carol responsibilities will include (but not limited to) Customer Service, sales opportunities coordinator, market research, inside sales and other marketing related efforts to grow the PTS business.

Prior to joining PTS, Carol worked for over 13 years in Customer Service and Inside Sales within the corrugated container industry. Most recently, she was the Customer Service Manager at US Corrugated in Bowling Green, KY. She also worked for Smurfit Stone Container Corporation as both Customer Service Manager on their Strategic Realignment team and as an instructor for a production software installation throughout the company.

PTS, LLC would like to announce the appointment of James (Jim) LeGacy to the position of Vice President, Commercial Development, effective March 21, 2012. Living in North Attleboro, MA, Jim will be based in Massachusetts and will be responsible for assisting PTS in growth related activities such as sales and commercial development with Key End-users and processors globally. Jim will also develop new sales agents, distributors and other alternative channels to market, as well as assist PTS in securing alternative feedstock supply chains.

Prior to PTS, Jim was the SABIC General Manager for the PC Strategy Team. His prior role was as the North American General Manager for Performance Compounding, responsible for more than $500M in resin sales in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Jim led a team consisting of five Regional General Managers, five Product Marketing Managers, 50 Sales Development Leaders, and eight Professional Development Engineers who were responsible for more than 4000 processors and OEM’s. In addition to leading the Performance Compounding Operating Unit, Jim was also responsible for the LEXAN, CYCOLOY, CYCOLAC, GELOY, XENOY, XYLEX, and VALOX product lines, as well as all Distribution Relationships. Jim’s leadership experience has included roles as Regional General Manager, District Sales Manager, Six Sigma Blackbelt, and Global Account Manager.

Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from North Adams State College.

PTS, LLC also announces the addition of Ron Pierce, who joined us in the second half of 2010, as our Sales Service Manager. Ron will be responsible for developing new business in the Mid South USA. Ron has an excellent customer oriented personality, and comes to PTS with a lifelong background in the logistics arena, with Sales Management positions with Averitt Express and Big G Express, both based in Tennessee.

PTS CHINA

We are proud to announce in response to continued business growth in Asia, PTS has opened a new branch in Suzhou, China. The new company is Polymer Technology & Services (Suzhou) Trading Limited. With this move, PTS has established a larger presence in China with extended capability to serve both Export and Domestic engineered plastics’ markets.

PTS is eager to provide technical knowledge and field support to new and emerging markets in China.
